Craniosacral therapy is a very gentle form of bodywork that emerged from osteopathy. It works with the fine, rhythmic pulsation of the cerebrospinal fluid – the so-called craniosacral rhythm. Through mindful touch, it helps the body release tension and return to its natural balance.
How does craniosacral therapy work?
Our nervous system today is often under constant strain. This is exactly where craniosacral therapy comes in: through gentle impulses, the nervous system can switch into rest mode. In this state the body can resume its self-regulation – many people experience a deep relaxation that lasts well beyond the session.
How does a session work?
You lie clothed and comfortably on the treatment table. With fine holds at the head, along the spine and the pelvis, I sense and accompany the craniosacral rhythm. A session usually lasts around 60 minutes.
- At the start: a talk about your concern
- Gentle treatment in a calm atmosphere
- Time to sense afterwards
When can craniosacral therapy help?
It is suitable for stress, tension, headaches, sleep problems or stressful phases of life – and for all ages, from babies to seniors.
